Granted, you played a strong game. But who would have thought being overly concerned about the whereabouts of opponents would actually benefit you and help you win–and that you would continue to be mean, discounting, and ungrateful afterwards?

Sure, we know kindness and refraining from mockery and insults do not guarantee a win. Granted, we have covered general motivation factors before, but never did we consider that almost obsessing about where the others were at all times would be the thing that instead of tripping you up accelerated your progress…all the way to the finish line. And true, emotional misappropriation has littlle to do with winning, evidently, but you still have a nasty personality. Even Rob has charisma: you just sulk on top of your meanness, and blame TV cameras for not portraying realism. Uh, who were they filming if not this surly and stuck-up guy?

Interviews with you speaking also not realistic?

The malcontent thing just didn’t cut it with us. Even though you later claimed Danielle had to be treated differently as a woman, that you had to be more sensitive toward her, you seemed to be the one more negative. Hell, after winning, you even told her (in a Reality News Online interview ) That your former “Amazing Race” partner was a much better partner. Whew.

From viewers’ vantage points, you were so wigged most of the time (that we saw, anyway) that your vitriol intoxicated Danielle, making her miserable—or, that is, more like you. She likely would not have been so snarly and nasty had she not been trying to stay bonded with her race partner…just to get through it.

As she said, “The only reason he got me so angry was because I knew that he was going to watch it and be mad at himself for not enjoying it more. I know Eric, how his personality really is, like so intense about it that he wasn’t even enjoying himself. So, he was taking a lot of his intensity out on me. It was just – he was ruining my fun of the race. That’s all that came out at the end of the day, that I was angry about. He even admitted it himself, watching it, that he wishes I would have enjoyed it a little bit more.”

But worse, after you put her through that hell that is your

personality and subsequently insulted her with how she is the less valued teammate, and after your win cut fans of Charla and Myrna or the Beauty Queens, you crammed a little salt in our wounds: “…And for the people that don’t like us, really I’m glad we ruined your season. You want to say bad things, nothing makes me happier than ruining the haters’ season.”
Well, you may have gotten your due criticism, but I doubt you RUINED anyone’s season. You’re not THAT important. (Okay, I spent twenty minutes on this article. Big whoop.)

Hey, we were going to give you the benefit of the doubt–but then you monopolized (or took at least half of) the interview time and told Danielle she talks too much. We sympathized with you as you were de-boarded from a flight–but then you tell how you wished the guy who told you to just get off the plane [you were booted from] would have a heart attack. And, while we also understand full well how much of a reality TV show gets edited, after revealing, OFF-CAMERA (in that interview), who you were, are, and evidently continue to be, you claim first that “you forget that cameras are there;” and in the same discussion that “When it comes down to it, it’s a race. It’s not really indicative of everyone’s personalities.”

Um…yuh. It is.

Hmmm. Who woulda thunk it becomes think again, Eric.
