Charming and Comical Go beforeth Bratty and Bitchy: Class Clown Courtney Gets Expelled by Roxanne McDonald

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Sometimes the most likely candidate for expulsion stays because she needs “Charm School” more, evidently.

Larissa is a top example of what one girl can do to get kicked out but end up staying, what with her screaming and intransigence and all….

But when the theme of the season is growth, and another is “just keeping the bed warm,” not doing much to evolve, she will go before the brat.

Such was the case for Courtney, class clown.

Okay, so this week’s experience I will only loosely recap, as much better (and way funnier) reporters covered the episode much better…at, say, Fans of Reality TV.

The commandment they are learning this time is “Thou shalt mind thy money.” They are all sitting around trying to figure out what that means, says Darra, when they learn they will be working with CEO of Creative Scentualization, making, advertising, and selling their own unique fragrance.

The lesson is explained by Mo, who says that they must make their own living, and not depend on anyone else.

Brooke is heard to say someone (didn’t catch name) smells like a rotten something, so she wouldn’t want to buy her fragrance, but Brooke may be compensating or retaliating, as the girls have been fixed on how she was so nasty (according to Larissa) with the guys in the club on the previous outing.

Becky is nervous about the numbers, for while she can multiply by three, if they throw nine at her, she is screwed, as she didn’t make it that far in the tables…. [Becky is really funnier—more irreverent and silly, at least--on this show, though maybe the editing leaves out choice Courtney stuff?]

Mikki names Shay, Larissa, and Brooke as the CEOs of the mock fragrance companies, and they of course bitch at each other about who they want and don’t want on their teams. The girls have to interview with the three, and that means Schatar is going to push how driven she is and toss out

some words like “high profit margins,” while Saaphyri is going to be mocked for rambling (as she does some mock demo that stumps all three CEOs, something to do with jewelry from the Red Sea?), and where Leilene will woo them as the sexy giggly one who loves perfume, asks who doesn’t love it (a lot of us, Lei), and asks a question about the company’s mission—which pisses off Larissa, of course, making her say to herself that the “bitch” needs to “fall back.”
Anyway, Shay snatches up Schatar and Becky; Larissa snags Saaphyri and Courtney; and Brooke is left with Darra and Leilene. Shay and Larissa are smug and say she should have moved quicker, and Brooke feigns having intentionally chosen Darra and Leilene for one’s experience and the other’s sexiness. Still, she trumps them all when her team wins with a sexy slogan, name, no promise of proceeds going to breast cancer or charity of choice, and highest sales.

In the two hours they have to sell, Larissa’s team, La Sacour [for their names], who got an oddly lethargic start, has promised potential customers to give $1 from each sale (though Saaphyri, duh, promised 100%), so their competing total is $165.00. Shay’s team, Icon, has also promised 5%, but was milking the Flavor of Love Fame with pictures and hunting caps, so they pulled in $318.25. But Brooke’s team, Flavor of Love (heh-heh), sold the sex angle as well as Brooke’s action9s) of spitting on some guy who begged for it, so they raked in a whopping 463. Becky suggests they were selling more, some “pu–y”, on the side, though….

The sulky and swearing Larissa and Shay are in the bottom two, and joined by Courtney, who is put there by Larissa’s belief she should be there and Mo going with what Larissa has said.

Keith admonishes Larissa, telling her that as a CEO she has to take responsibility, and Mikki tells her she is surprised to see a constantly shifting attitude.

But Courtney gets the worst of it: Keith tells her school is about growing up, not just sailing through. Mikki says she admires Courtney’s graciousness but that going along to get along will not move her further. And Mo says she appreciates Shay’s growth, tells Larissa she is still a handful, and says to Courtney that just keeping the bed warm is not right, that she needs to let those who need it have it.

So Courtney needing the least help or growth, I guess, is expelled. However, the coolest parting gift comes from Mo’Nique, who says Courtney “does not belong on that little yellow bus… but on a tour bus”—and invites Courtney to tour with her.

That is a great way to go.
