BB7 Chilltown All Stars have the Ultimate Power
BB7 Chilltown All Stars have the Ultimate Power by Mike Liebner

It’s about time that I chime in and give my thoughts on this Summer’s hottest TV show Big Brother All Stars.
I must admit there were a few weeks where I was uncomfortable with the season 6 alliance of Howie, Kaysar, Janelle and James and how they did NOT go after Will and Boogie. |
At that point I would say that I despised those 2 guys (Chilltown).
But as things have turned in the game and have removed my favorite All Stars (Jase, James and Kaysar), I must say that I now have a new found respect for Will and Boogie.
I mean how are these guys pulling it off? Despite everyone knowing that they were a team aka dynamic duo, how could the all stars let them stay in the game? It just amazes me. (more…)
Rockstar Supernova was moving!
Rockstar Supernova was moving! By Roxanne McDonald

Rockstar Supernova, Tuesday, August 29, 2006 was a moving recap of the emotions and follow-up of Dilana’s comments to Ryan and to the press last week. After she had apologized on the show, back at the mansion, Brooke reports, emotions were still raw. |
Storm offers to toast, and Dilana is reticent. Lukas says to her and everyone at the dinner table that “life is a constant clinic.”
Though they were forgiving and supportive, supporting her by telling her to overcome it, a choked-up Dilana says it will take her a while to get over it. She feels, she tells the camera, her whole world has ended (implicit in this end is also the end of her rock career). (more…)
Big Brother All Stars Danielle is going down!
| BB7 Danielle is Going Down by Roxanne McDonald
|
Big Brother fans and aficionados knew it was coming, but we didn’t anticipate it would come from the source it did.
The Tuesday, August 29, 2006 episode of BB7 has brought Danielle down. |
Will nudges Janelle to talk to Erika.
Janelle tells Erika she won’t go after her (Erika) next week:
Erika: Hmmm. I think I’ll take that deal.
Janelle: I think she believed me.
The final six haven’t even played out the PoV competition and already they are scheming and negotiating (and banking on the fact that Janelle, on the block with Georgie, will win the PoV). (more…)
Debut of Million Dollar Listing
Million Dollar Listing debuted on Bravo Tuesday, August 29, 2006.

Each of the six one-hour episodes promise two real estate companies working to sell a house in Malibu and Hollywood areas.
The “cast” is composed of Shannon McCloud, Scotty Brown, Madison Hildebrand, Carol Bird (why does that name sound familiar?), Lydia Simon, Ray and Dia Schuldenfrei, Chris Cortazzo, and Chase Campen. |
This episode features Shannon McCloud, trying to sell her ex-fiance’s Rising Glen listing (as she represents both Jeff and the prospective buyer, Farrah), which has an asking price of $2.395 million.
Newbie real estate agent Madison Hildebrand (looking fresh out of prep school and following the guidance of seasoned mentor Scotty Brown) attempting to sell the 3.2-million “fixer-upper”, at Anna Cappa View, to potential buyer Greg, who will flip the house and make a cool mill profit. (more…)
Big Brother All Stars is down to six master gamesters
Big Brother 7 is down to six master gamesters, all allying with one another and each out to eliminate the rest.

The logic and logistics are lost on some but then again, are coming to light.
For example, Erika notes in the Diary room that “everybody is in an alliance with everybody else. Yup. And nope. |
Further, on Sunday, August 27, Erika as HoH and Danielle as her closest bud have a chat in Erika’s new paper and cloth burst of flowers room.
Erika is trying to figure out why Janelle would vote James out, and once the two realize it, they see how Will is pulling his puppet’s strings: Erika says, “Will’s got some control over her.” Yup.
Will is getting more egotistical by the minute, if that’s possible. And he complains more, too – probably to keep up the act and nothing more: first he bitches about Erika’s HoH room, saying how “you can get too much of a good thing,” in this case, flowers. (more…)
Rock Star Supernova’s Elimination Night Aug. 23
Rock Star Supernova’s Elimination Night Aug. 23 by Roxanne McDonald

Wow.
The one with the most poise, the one most likely to win maybe, has gotten a little egomaniacal already? |
RockStar SuperNova’s elimination night (on August 23) was expected, though some of the subterfuge going on and shared with us on Wednesday was not.
Evidently, as the house cams reveal, Dilana is starting to show off — in the wrong way. First, she digs Ryan, telling him he would have been nothing without the house band; and then telling him in a taunting way, “I’m getting more votes than you.” The remaining seven have been reading some of the comments and critiques on the Windows Live Space page, and one of the posts is addressed to Dilana and claims it is down to her and Ryan. (Of course, thousands who know what they are talking about disagree.) (more…)
Rock Star Supernova Recaps

RockStar SuperNova, Wednesday, August 16, is like any Rock Star episode of this season or last (which was Rock Star INXS, for those of you who foolishly missed the best music reality show on TV).
No, wait. It is amped up a notch: SuperNova hits the stage: Jason on bass, Gilbey on lead, and Tommy on drums… and Dilana fronting. |
The boys have opened the show with the preface that no one is anywhere near being “chosen” as the winner.
Tonight will start a series of weekly guest fronting, as SuperNova performs one newly written song for each of the next seven weeks: this week the guest spot will be taken by Dilana (great first choice on the band’s part, of course, for anyone with an ear is anticipating she WILL win this contest, anyway—if Lukas doesn’t). America’s Got Talent Finale and Props to Regis
America’s Got Talent Finale and Props to Regis by Roxanne McDonald

I know I was pretty hard on the show in general, given its tacky middle America pandering and not so successful panning of The Gong Show and other mock games, and I am sorry to say I have to be equally harsh about America’s Got Talent grand finale. |
But if to show respect at least is to write about it, to give it air, okay, then the very writing here should suffice.
(After all, bad publicity is still publicity and all that….)I like Regis Philbin. I give him props for being angry and bitter and hateful and getting away with it, expressing it, giving vent, by way of cheesy and acceptable humor. (more…)
BB7 All-Stars – Gamut of Emotions
BB7 All-Stars – Gamut of Emotions by Roxanne McDonald
Big Brother 7 All Stars, August 17th, 2006

Big Brother 7 All-Stars puts BB devotees through the gamut of emotions—or emotional responses. |
First, we are getting fed up with the Janelle thing, especially once she “scumbagged” (as Marcellas would say) her supposed “friend”.
Yep, she put Marcellas up for eviction, pretentiously confiding in him that she had to do it but that she would ensure he was only a pawn and going nowhere. (more…)
Big Brother All Stars – Will is Gaining Power
Big Brother All Stars – Will is Gaining Power by Roxanne McDonald

By the time one gets through the Big Brother 7, Tuesday, August 1st episode, one is struck hard by the frightful possibility:
what if Will wins again? |
It is a strong possibility, considering he has gone balls to wall with his intentional insulting, manipulating, and self-alienating, all of which appear to merely galvanize, or reinforce, his strength of presence in the BB house.
He has told them all during a veto meeting that he hates them all. He has cajoled and coerced Janelle—or attempted to convince her—to put a floater and a Chill Town member up, then work it so the floater goes home. (more…)
Is the Last Comic Standing Really Funny?
Last Comic Standing is Josh Blue!
It’s not that you need a PhD in the psychology of humor to write about such television programs, but it is tough to capture or encapsulate the appeal of really good comedic shows.
![]() |
I mean, if I could translate with any accuracy and effectiveness the likes of, say, Seinfeld, with its hallmark repetition of lines for comic effect or its relatedness of events, instances, and issues the characters share, for example, then I would be ON the show…or WRITING it. |
So it goes with a blockbuster entertainment show like Last Comic Standing.
Still, I feel impelled to sing the praises of the efforts to bring back some damned levity (if not outright raucous laughter) to our pitifully stressful, overworked, overburdened, overwhelmed lives. (more…)
Internet TV Software allows you to Watch Satellite TV on your PC
You can now watch satellite TV on your PC with Internet TV Software!
Watching TV shows over the internet continues to rise in popularity.

![]() |
This article on satellite tv will help you learn about the benefits of PC Software that will help you watch satellite tv programming on your computer, almost as if it were an actual television set! That’s very cool! |
In fact, the regular internet user spends nearly forty one days each year being online or approximately 164 minutes per day;
likewise, researches reveal that 148 minutes per day are spent watching television. This supports studies done in September 2005 that most individuals spend almost eight hours a day using 2 or even more media simultaneously. (more…)
Big Brother 7 All-Stars Gets More Vicious
Big Brother 7 Gets More Vicious By Roxanne McDonald
![]() |
The Big Brother 7 All-Stars July 23 episode, if possible, gets more vicious, more heated, more cutthroat… and at the same time ushers in another bizarre dimension to the personalities of two players, Jase and Will. |
The Sunday episode has creepy cute moments: Boogie speaks to the diary room cam, excitedly anticipating HOH James’ nominations, saying, “Call the Hardy Boys… get somebody in here to figure out who James is going to nominate.”
(Boogie is a trip; reminds me of the frat boys back east, and with good reason: he is from Concord, NH, right up the road a piece from where I first went to college. So, yes, frat boys in NH are like this—and often WORSE.) (more…)
Racially Divided Survivor: Cook Islands premiers on Sept. 14
Are you ready for a Racially Divided Survivor: Cook Islands???
![]() |
Sure, why not???
Survivor Cook Islands is just a reality TV show!
And Survivor is a damned good one at that! |
Commentator Tucker Carlson was trying to make a case last night on his show Tucker (why did they change it?) on MSNBC,
that he was terribly offended by the new season of Survivor dividing it’s contestants into tribes, er groups by race. No one else on the panel seemed as offended and Tucker just beat it to a pulp whining about how he will not watch it. (more…)
Big Brother All-Stars is an Exercise in Arrogance!
BB7 Article by Roxanne McDonald
I was speaking with an associate (or emailing back and forth with him) today, and as usual we were discussing one of our favorite pastimes, reality TV.
![]() |
We agree on many points and about most characteristics when it comes to the granddaddy of reality TV shows, Big Brother, or as it is this season, Big Brother All-Stars (BB7). |
We two, like many viewers, imagine Will and Jase are gonna tear up the game,
tear apart weaker (but seemingly stealthy) alliances, and will likely, if they stay in “character”, tear new ones for those competitors they see as the greatest threat. (more…)
America’s Got Talent and the Gong Show!
I couldn’t stand The Gong Show when I was growing up and it was on in syndication, and I’m having an equally hard time staying as faithful to America’s Got Talent as I am to umpteen million other reality TV shows I am utterly hooked on.
![]() |
America’s Got Talent, though, is apparently another much-needed show by middle America (get the name similarity, which is dubbed for a reason).
The Gong Show and Star Search hybrid is not as silly, nor is it as savvy (up on and aware of its nature as panning other talent shows) as I would assume. |
In fact, yesterday on Reality Remix, they posted the top six episodes of the week (July, 2006) and
America’s Got Talent was Number One, with so many more million viewers than So Think You Can Dance (which took two places) and Rock Star Supernova (which of course took last as there are fewer rockers than bible thumpers in the nation—ugh). (more…)
The New TV Shows for Fall are here in Summer!
New TV Shows for the fall season are almost here!
![]() |
Actually I just watched a new one last night (August 23rd) called Vanished which is really good!
The new fall season just started in Summer! More on Vanished in a future review of the season premiere episode from last night! |
When fall “really” comes, you can expect to see a lot of the new TV shows working their way into our consciousness.
The Fall season used to be the only time a network would premiere new TV shows, but that is finally changing.
The change is due to the changing habits of viewers in general. Some networks now put new shows on in the spring, or replace shows that are not doing well in the middle of the season. No matter when they debut, the networks are always fighting to get you to watch and embrace their new shows.
The new Fall TV shows come and go. Get ready for some that you like to quickly disappear like the Heather Graham show that bombed last year. Gone in 60 seconds (practically!) (more…)

What benefits do you get from your PC or Mac? I’ve come to notice that I use my G4 Ibook on a daily basis and can’t seem to function without it any more.
There are just so many options and conveniences that my laptop offers. These days we don’t even have to deal with cords. The wireless connection makes it all too easy. |
I actually find myself ordering pizza online, simply so I don’t have to make the phone call. Wow, have home computers changed a lot of things.
One of my favorite advantages that comes from having a computer and Internet access concerns entertainment. I love the way it’s so easy to download music videos and movie trailers. I no longer have to wait for the TV to play certain things. I can easily pop open my Mac and check them out on a whim. (more…)

You have gotta see this commercial! (more…)
Jenna Morasca has a TV Journal
I was just buzzing along looking at the latest news in TV and found that one of my ultimate dream girls Jenna Morasca, winner of a million bucks on Survivor, has her own TV Journal at the CBS News site!

Very interesting!
In “Jenna’s TV Journal” she dishes out her opinions on such shows at Treasure Hunters, Hell’s Kitchen. Rock Star: Supernova, Last Comic Standing, Big Brother: All-Stars, Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent and Who Wants To Be A Superhero! (more…)
