Amazing Race 13 – Is A Military March That Hard?
Its been a long way since Amazing Race 13 started out and now they are heading to Moscow! Find out if today’s episode will bring the final 3 teams or is this a non elimination leg? Will Nick and Starr continue to dominate with 5 legs being on the top? Check out the flirting moments of Dallas and Starr!
The teams had been on the country of Kazakhstan and Nick and Starr finished first on that leg of the race. The teams now are going to Moscow, Russia and Nick and Starr were the first to depart followed by Toni and Dallas, Ken and Tina and Andrew and Dan. All teams fly to Moscow on the same flight because that’s the only available and earliest flight. They have to travel 2,000 miles and when they arrive they must look for a monastery in Moscow and light a candle to receive their clue. At the airport Starr and Dallas have been caught holding hands, showing how much they like each other. Andrew and Dan forgot their shoes on the last leg and have bought a new pair of shoes in a 24 hrs shop at the airport (which is definitely a waste of their money).
As the teams arrived at Moscow, the teams race to get a taxi and had been disappointed with the strong language barrier and the expensive city transportation. Teams Toni and Dallas and Nick and Starr arrived at the monastery simultaneously and have gotten their next clue. The clue says that they have to look for a certain military based on the outskirts of Moscow. Ken and Tina arrived at the monastery with Andrew and Dan behind. Nick and Starr had difficulty communicating with their driver and have gotten lost on the way because the driver doesn’t know where to go.
Toni and Dallas arrive first on the military based and had a chance to finished off the Detour first. The Detour is consist of two choices: Boots or Borscht. The teams must wear a traditional military uniform with an intricate wearing of socks. Then they must perform one of the two detours. In Boots, team must learn a march and march around the entire lap with a team of soldiers among them. In Borscht: the team must go to the military kitchen, wear a uniform and then serve Borscht to 85 military men. Toni and Dallas choose to do Boots and finished up the Detour in no time. Then Ken and Tina and Andrew and Dan arrived at the camp simultaneously, leaving Nick and Starr behind because of their ‘getting lost’ problems. Ken and Tina finished the marching second and race to get the clue. Meanwhile, Dan and Andrew had issues in wearing the socks and abandoned it to serve Borscht realizing in the end that they still have to wear a uniform no matter what tasks they are choosing. They decide again to do the Boots option and ended up being laugh upon because of Dan’s inability to make a coordinated movement. The two then finally decided to serve the military men of Borscht.
Well, while Dan and Andrew had their deciding difficulties, Nick and Starr arrived and finished the marching tasks in a lil time leaving the frat boys behind. Toni and Dallas had been on the lead and encounter the Road Block next.
The Road Block: One member of the team must act as a flour delivery person. He/ She must unload 50 bags of 50 lbs of flour from a truck to a depot and must stack them up properly.
Dallas had a very big league when he start out on the Road Block test, however Ken had nearly catch up on him because Dallas became tired of carrying two bags of flour at a time. Ken had been on the NFL, had been trained to ignore pain and this task is an advantage for him. However, Dallas still finished the Road Block first and they had been givin a clue that will take them on the next pitstop. Then Ken also finished making up to par with Toni and Dallas. As Ken and Tina ride their taxi to the pitstop Nick and Starr arrived to perform the road block. Nick finished the task before Dan and Andrew arrived. But the siblings tandem had difficulty looking for taxi to take them to the pitstop since they dispatched their taxi because of the incompetence of the driver.
Toni and Dallas fortunately had been first to arrive in the pitstop. They are followed by Ken and Tina. Dan and Andrew had finished the Road Block and had been thankful that their taxi driver is fast and knowledgeable. Nick and Starr had finally saw a taxi driver to take them to the pitstop. As the frat boys arrived at the gates of the pitstop, the driver told them that their money is not enough payment and the two realized that they should not have bought the shoes. Nick and Starr manages to arrived at the pitstop before the fratboys. Fortunately, this is a non-elimination race and Dan and Andrew will encounter a speed bump on the next leg.
