Blame Bunk Votes not on India but DDT

Blame Bunk Votes not on India but DDT by Roxanne McDonald

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket The votes are not pouring in from the virtually ignorant of Sanjaya Malakar India…but from a malevolent Dave Della Terza and his site, VotefortheWorst.com.

DDT is a great acronym for the man behind the malicious attempts to throw the voting process.

Apparently, according to Associated Press, India is saying, “Sanjaya who?” First, it is reported, American Idol is broadcast a day later in India. [This really wouldn’t matter to the voting process, whereby Indians could easily calculate time differences, and seeing the show or not could just call in for the boy with lesser talent…just because.]
Second, however, American Idol is said to air on an English-only channel, one which gets “relatively few viewers in this country of 1.1 billion.” So, screw the conspiracy theory, folks.

Well, then again, maybe not. Hold up on the dismissing of conspiring to keep Sanjaya boring or bothering us a bit longer:

Dave Della Terza—now DDT as far as I’m concerned—is getting his pitiful jollies by having set up VotefortheWorst.com and campaigning to keep Sanjaya in the running by urging visitors to the site to vote for him.

Says DDT, “The more bad performances we get the better…. The longer Sanjaya stays around, the more fun it’ll be.”

But for many, it’s not fun. Just go to the freak’s site and see all the pleas and pissed off postings.

In one respect, the efforts on DDT’s part are bastardizing a reasonably wholesome show, believe many who are angry that he is attempting to sabotage the better singers.
In another, though, as Ryan Seacrest told reporters and tells anyone hounding him about Sanjaya’s far too-long run, as reported by the Boston Herald, he “has faith that the show’s fans will ultimately overcome Malakar’s votefortheworst.com mojo and send him packing.”

Of course, while Seacrest has a better seat in the house of predictions, he is betting on Jordin Sparks to take the title.

I don’t fear Sanjaya lasting much longer, but I don’t see Sparks as the final Idol, either. I’m banking on Melinda or Lakisha.

But then, what do I know? I was sure Bo Bice was going to get it, too, and instead…ugh.
