Queen of Hearts Conquers the Query
Queen of Hearts Conquers the Query…by Sheer Luck by Roxanne McDonald

How…how…Jen can misinterpret a casual question from Julie Chen and then go on to nail the question competition is beyond many. |
So here are the second HoH Competition questions, eliciting an answer that matches the majority—not sure who the majority is [okay, I guess it’s BB8 players], not sure why this couldn’t have had an Alice in Wonderland Queen of Hearts
court trial spoof instead of a Majority Rules theme, but more, am still fixated on how the Queen won when she couldn’t talk a few minutes earlier.
1. In the Butter-Me-up food competition, who does the majority say they would rather rub the butter off of—Daniel or Jen?
Answer: Daniele [Hah. Nick is the only one to say Jen, likely still scarred and reeling…, so he is out]
2. Who does the majority of the house say they would not let a little sister go out with—Nick or Mike?
Answer: Nick [Dick, Nick, and Daniel out]
3. Who does the majority say would cheat on a significant other—Dustin or Joe?
Answer: Joe [a no-brainer everyone, even the feeb, Jen, gets right/agrees upon]
4. Who does the majority say would hold a grudge the longest—Dick or Daniele?
Answer: Daniel [of course, but Jameka is out on this one]
5. Who does the majority of the house say would be the best person to cheer them up if they were depressed—Jessica or Eric?
Answer: Eric [Amber is out, though I would tend to fumble this one, too]
6. Who does the majority of the house say is more likely to turn 5k into 5 mill—Kail or Zach?
Answer: Zach [Mike and Jessica out]
7. Who does the majority say would be most likely to help an old lady cross the street—Jameka or Amber?
Answer: [tied, though wouldn’t Amber be too self-absorbed to bother?] This leaves Jen, Joe, Eric, and Dustin in the running.
8. Tie-breaker: How many gallons of water does the spinning teacup in the back yard hold?
Answer: 9 gallons [Jen said 41, Joe said 136, Eric said 220, and Dustin said 200; so, Jen is closest.]
Now, word is that the tie-breaker was a trick question that Jen cleverly caught. But 1, the trickiness was not built into the question—was not framed so that the question asked how much the teacup holds WHILE spinning or AFTER spinning out the contents; and 2, Jen so could not be that clever to catch the ambiguity: you could even see how shocked she was when she was announced winner.
But more, her luck had to be just that, for the casual interview question that threw her far more than any HoH competition question was this: Jen, how was it choosing who to evict? Her answer: What? Why are you asking me? Why do I have to go first? Uh, it was…fun?
Okay, come on. And this our HoH for the week. AEEEeew.
