Could it be true that an all new Big Brother 9 will coming to us in February of 2008?

Yes! It’s true! An all new Big Brother is going to hit the screen and drop it’s reality tv magic on us in the series first non-Summer run.

I was watching the season finale of Survivor China last night and CBS dropped a commercial for the new season of Big Brother 9.
I almost dropped to the floor when they said coming in February 2008! Yipes! That’s big news!
After doing a little online investigating… sure enough CBS has released the details in a press release about an all new Big Brother:
“The First Ever Winter Edition of “Big Brother” Begins Tuesday, Feb 12, 9:00 PM with Wednesday and Sunday Broadcasts at 8:00 PM… The first ever winter edition of BIG BROTHER premieres Tuesday, Feb. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) with additional broadcasts on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 13 and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 17.
Julie Chen returns as host of the live weekly eviction broadcast. BIG BROTHER has been a summer reality program staple for the past eight years, attracting a young demographic in each of its three weekly broadcasts.”
Yes! That’s so cool! Immediately I wondered how a winter edition of Big Brother may be different. Well… they’d certainly be spending more time in the hot tub as it gets cool out here in California in the winter time. Sure, some days are warm and even a few hot ones sneak in, but it may be more likely to see our favorite contestants hanging out in sweats rather than in short shorts (awww).
Julie Chen returns as th ehost for the eviction episodes but surely there will not be an evel Dick this time around… that’s a good thing, right??? There have been rumors of a celebrity edition, but hey – who is going to want to do a live in show for 3 months non-stop??? Oh, yes, MC Hammer and Brady Bunch alumni… oh well – we’ll have to wait and see on that!
Looking forward to some fun this winter with Big Brother 9 in the house!
