Big Brother’s Gay Rodeo Circuit

6 episodes, two evictions and 16 days into Big Brother 10 and I must say I love it! |
Big Brother is still the best reality TV show on television! The staple reality TV show Big Brother consistently delivers a breath of fresh air and is as fun to watch as ever. While Big Brother 10 may have it’s weaknesses and a few ups and downs, it still is the top must see reality TV show! If you’ve been missing out, you better get in on the action while it’s still early!
This season Big Brother 10 is stirring it up and giving us a live studio audience for it’s weekly eviction episodes. While I admit I sometimes try to resist change from the things I know and love, it does work very well and the studio audience doesn’t hamper Julie Chen’s ability to carry out the eviction ceremony successfully.
In a vote of 9 to 0, the 2nd eviction ceremony has put an end to Big Brother’s “Gay Rodeo Circuit”.
The BB10 houseguests evicted the so called gay rodeo competitor Steven, thereby keeping in the other guy on the chopping block, religious and oliy haired schoolteacher Dan.
Now back to this alleged GAY RODEO CIRCUIT…
On the show and on the web page for Steven he is referred to as “Steven is a geographic consultant by day and a rodeo cowboy by night. He is a champion bull rider in the gay rodeo circuit.”…
Hey ya’ll, is there really a “gay rodeo circuit” as they refer to it, or is Steven just a gay bull rider in a straight rodeo circuit??? These things confuse me, but regardless, Steven was a genuinely nice guy and I’m glad that religious schoolteacher Dan (also on the block) could see him as more than just “gay Steven” (Dan’s own words). I wonder if this next season of Big Brother will be better than the last one this past winter??? I have great expectations for Big Brother 10 on CBS! |
I also wonder if the Early Show will be interviewing the ejected houseguests like they used to do? They did not do that this past winter for some reason… nor did they do the usual Survivor interviews.
Well, I sure could use something decent on tv to watch! Big Brother 10 might just be the ticket!
Big Brother 9 - down to the wire
Well, this season of Till Death Do Us Part on Big Brother 9 is winding down to an end… and a rather boring one at that.
Sorry, but I just can’t connect with the houseguests and this season it seems like the producers are working extra hard to manipulate us into guessing the outcome of what should be obvious. Clever editing can do that I guess. But even the best editing can’t make boring contestants into interesting ones…
Now we have Sheila, Adam, Ryan and Sharon as the final 4. Not exactly a tv fun house.
Big Brother 9 Til Death Do You Part
Big Brother 9 article by Mike Liebner
Big Brother: ‘Til Death Do You Part is the all new winter installment of BB! It’s the first ever Big Brother that has not run during the Summer months!
Me, I’m glad Big Brother 9 is here! What I am not so sure about though is the couples aspect… pairing up the hamsters into couples (perfect matches - yeah right…)
Is Big Brother 9 really coming to CBS in February 2008
Is Big Brother 9 really coming to CBS in February 2008 by Mike Liebner
Could it be true that an all new Big Brother 9 will coming to us in February of 2008?

Yes! It’s true! An all new Big Brother is going to hit the screen and drop it’s reality tv magic on us in the series first non-Summer run.
|
I was watching the season finale of Survivor China last night and CBS dropped a commercial for the new season of Big Brother 9.
I almost dropped to the floor when they said coming in February 2008! Yipes! That’s big news!
After doing a little online investigating… sure enough CBS has released the details in a press release about an all new Big Brother:
“The First Ever Winter Edition of “Big Brother” Begins Tuesday, Feb 12, 9:00 PM with Wednesday and Sunday Broadcasts at 8:00 PM… The first ever winter edition of BIG BROTHER premieres Tuesday, Feb. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) with additional broadcasts on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 13 and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 17. 3 nights a week is a lot of TV!
Is America watching Big Brother 8??? |
Reality TV appears to be as popular as ever. There are some big brand new hits this Summer.
With all the press going ga-ga gush over the big new reality tv hits (Spelling Bee and those cloned singing idiot type shows) I was worried that Big Brother 8 was sliding in viewership and ratings…. BUT apparently not!
According to Variety Big Brother 8 and it’s houseguests’ ratings are on par with last season: (more…)
Big Brother 8 is my Summer Sweetheart
BB8 article by Mike Liebner
Hey - it’s that time of year again! The time for conniving and back stabbing and possibly even some showmance action!

Big Brother 8 and hot Summertime fun is here again!
Boy - it’s my favorite time of year with my favorite hot Summer reality tv show Big Brother back on CBS in full effect! |
That means I/we can now dedicate 3 days or more to the adventures of the BB8 houseguests for a Big Brother Summer of fun!
I say 3 days or more because I just found myself re-watching the season premiere episode a 2nd time (it was recorded on my 2nd Tivo)! And you know what… watching Big Brother 8 a 2nd time was actually enjoyable (although I did fast forward a lot).
So - is there enough Big Brother 8 for you this Summer???
Can you live without Big Brother the other 4 nights of the week the show is NOT airing a new episode???
Strange but last night (Saturday) I found myself wishing it was on… you can nver get enough of a good thing!
We now have Big Brother 8 to keep us entertained on 3 nights each week - Thursday - Sunday (new one coming tonight) and Tuesdays…. (more…)

Jonesing for Big Brother, it sort of helps to know the next installment is reportedly slated to begin in July, 2007. |
THE CASTING CALL FOR APPLICANTS
The CBS/Big Brother site had posted the call for the Big Brother 8 “cast”:
Are you an outgoing, intriguing, competitive person who would make the perfect BIG BROTHER HouseGuest? Are you up for anything and everything? Are you ready to live inside the BIG BROTHER House with a group of strangers while multiple cameras record your every move and sound 24 hours a day, seven days a week? Are you willing to compete for half a million dollars against other participants as
aggressive and ambitious as you are? If you can answer yes to these questions, you just might qualify as a contestant on BIG BROTHER.
The casting call deadline was April 20, 2007.
THE ANNOUNCEMENT
Big Brother 8 was officially announced by CBS on February 1, 2007, pointing to the typical season premiere date of July 5, 2007 (not firm, but as we all know, the first Thursday of July is reserved, or has been for the last couple of years, for those big black SUVs, the unmistakable intro music, and the ever-present Julie Chen welcoming the guests and us….
THE PROMISE OF EVEN MORE BIG BROTHER SURPRISES
Also reported is how Big Brother 8 will be executive-produced by Emmy Award winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A.. And while he will be executive “consultant”, since Arnold Shapiro has left Big Brother production, the show will take on yet a newer format.
What else can they do to gild this lily of a reality show? Make the new guests subject to old? Make the challenges more dangerous? Make the Big Brother premise include even more limitations on freedoms and privileges?
I mean, what will be able to top tolerating Boogie and Will and weeks upon weeks of breakfast slop?

Big Brother Winners: Where are They Now?
Big Brother Winners: Where are They Now? by Roxanne McDonald

They won the big money and some even won our hearts (or our hatred). But are they [still] living in winning ways? |
Eddie McGee, the first U.S. Big Brother winner, was the one we loved for his strategy, his continued stamina (after having lost a leg in childhood to cancer), and his sizzling tongue (which the bold and blunt New Yorker used to speak the truth and to establish Big Brother gaming technique as of yet unmatched).
According to writers at Wikipedia, Eddie was in the band Fozzy’s video, “Enemy”; and had a small speaking part on the “Profiteer” episode of “Law and Order.”
According to writers at IMDB, after his 2000 win, Eddie also went into other TV and movie roles, such as that of Jason in Drop Dead Roses; Sal in Parnassus; Mal in episode 1 of “Mutant X”; Pimp Diddy (or Daddy?) in Rose Woes and Joes; Justin in Mattie Fresno and the Holoflux Universe; Jimmy in The Signs of the Cross; Crawford in Eddie Monroe; Sgt. Hayes in a 2006 episode of “Law and Order;” and as Hal in an episode of “The Guiding Light.”
Besides working on the film crew of The Magdalene Sisters, and according to BigBTV, during the filming of such films as Drop Dead Roses (2001), Eddie did a naked bathtub interview with u8tv, a visit experience which was so “horrible that Eddie wrote on a wall and got in an
arguement [sic] with everyone… which turned his visit into a disaster, and a gaurantee [sic] that he [wouldn’t] be back.”Besides all the drama, though, the Big Brother winner to make history sticks to loving his life, his [at that time] new car, an ‘87 black Grand National with a t-top, and continues to get acclaim through such sites as the q&a fansite, “Eddie’s Angels.”
Will Kirby, a.k.a. Dr. Evil, continues to be the antithesis of who he was in the BB house 2, which he won (and 7), working, according to writers at Wikipedia, as a successful (and likely more well-known) dermatologist, investing in Mike “Boogie” Malin’s Dolce Group restaurants, clubs, and bars; and also issuing a line of Big Brother-themed clothing.
Will has made a few minor TV appearances, including, according to writers at IMDB, a host gig on “Love Shack” in 2002; the role of Dr. Will Kirby on a 2004 episode of “Cold Turkey;” another Will Kirby role in one episode of “The Young and the Restless;” and an appearance as presenter (and winner) at the 2006 Reality Remix Awards ceremony.
According to IMDB fans, however, the bigger news is that Will was seen sitting with Janelle at the VH1 Big in 2006 Awards; and according to BigBTV, the evil reality star really has a loving family, a loving spirit, and a subliminal desire to be more than a doc in Miami and move to L.A…where he can continue his hamming and jamming.
Lisa Donahue, a former bartender who won the third season of Big Brother, has, according to writers at Wikipedia and IMDB, taken to acting, as well. Besides taking a small part as Lauren in the 2004 version of Jekyll, Lisa did repeat performances on the acclaimed HBO series, Entourage, as Vince’s Girl, as well as a guest spot as Sondra in Dr. Vegas.
To show her seriousness, Lisa has also gone into producing…co-producing, for instance, the 2005 Reality Unleashed video. And while we didn’t have the luxury of Lisa the second time around—in the Big Brother Allstars season (7)—the quiet one who “didn’t play the game,” says BigBTV, did a stringent campaign to get back on TV for BB7, making pleas and appearances over national Television, in Rochester, NY, over the radio waves, and online in chat rooms.
Jun Song was the winner of Big Brother 4, the season wherein the exes were pitted against one another as contestants. Despite what BigBTV and others remind us was a “freak out” in response to learning her ex, Jee, would be playing against her, Jun, a shrewd player with clear ideas on strategy, came in as an investment banking manager, according to writers at Wikipedia, but afterwards also made appearances on awards and other television shows such as the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards and “Yes, Dear,” appearing in both as “herself”, according to writers at IMDB.
