Toni Braxton Sings Her Farewell On Dancing With The Stars
Its a night of surprises for Dancing With The Stars. The stage was set up for a huge performance number from Macy’s Stars of Dance. Even the pair who was eliminated last night was a surprise for the judges and the audience as well.
The judges praise Cody and Julianne for being consistent this past two weeks and for being such a contender in the contest. Then they criticize Lance for not being able to step up with Lacey on the same level. He is being taken over by his partner which is not good for him.
Judge Len Goodman will take a week off next week and will be replaced temporarily by the Lord Of The Dance Michael Flatlery.
Then the performances started with Cody and Julianne dancing their own version of the JItterbug. As last night, their energy was incredible and their entertaining as usual. Julianne even look like Lucille Ball on the dress and the dance. And then the Brian Setzer Orchestra performed “Rock This Town” accompanied by professional dancers Karina and Louis.
Afterward Tom announced the first two couples who are safe to join DWTS next week: Warren and Kym and surprise Cloris and Corky. Samantha congratulated Cloris for the job well done and asked her if she have any hip hop moves for next week’s competition. The 82 year old award winning actress showed some Egyptian moves as a response. Funny! but well see if she can dance her booty next week.
The ballroom kids came next. Anthony and Lisa from Los Angeles dance the jive to the tune of “Daddy Takes her T-Bird Away.” All the judges seemed satisfy with the performance and praises the kids eventually. And then Mitchell and Maria took the dance floor dancing the PasaDoble. Carrie Ann was amazed by the performance. Len and Bruno also love the performance. So the winner for the kid’s ballroom dancing is …. Mitchell and Maria! They will be back on the finals to compete.
And then the Macy’s Stars Of Dance took the stage and took the breath of the audience away! They performed 26 dances from the 1930s to the present with 26 dancers. This is the biggest performance done on the show up to date!
Then after that the hosts announced 2 more couples who will be safe this week and they were: Cody and Julianne and Maurice and Cheryl. They the told the audience the other 2 safe pairs for the week and they are : Brooke and Derek and Lance and Lacey. And that leaves Susan and Tony and Tony and Alec awaiting for the fateful moment.
And the moment arrived to eliminate the couple who has the lowest combined score. And that would be…. Alec and Toni!
