Poor Flav–the peaceful one has to fend off the many efforts to break his serenity.

As many shows this season are doing all of a sudden, The Flavor of Love has offered viewers a recap show before the finale. While this may be a stall tactic, may be a way to prolong the anticipation of the finale, or may just be necessary to scheduling around holidays and all…the recap/overview episode is revealing.

What the Flavor of Love reveals, however, is how mean the competing girls are and how doubly cruel some of the family members can be:

first shown is the first week, when the twenty girls fought over only fifteen beds.

One woman of course stakes out a bed that another one wants. The more vociferous, more rambunctious one challenges the other, and what we get to see in the unaired footage is an all-out cat fight with clawing and scratching and hair tearing.

One chick tells the cameras that she was just concerned about losing teeth and the other, the one who got tossed after Flav reviewed the tapes, talked about her 800-dollar weave getting ruined!

You probably know about and/or saw the episode where Krazy and Buckeey go at it so intensely that at one point Krazy is almost hurled over the balcony. Well in the “Oh No She Didn’t” recap show, this is highlighted, but is overshadowed, really, by the verbal fights between the mas and grandmas.

You know where New York gets her dramatic edge when you meet her mother, who when trying to sleep after a long flight is kept awake by Krazy, Krazy’s mom and grandmother…AND New York’s dad.

New York’s mom goes down and confronts the group for making too much noise,

but you know her ulterior grudge is that her man is havin’ a good time with the beautiful Krazy family! There’s no shoving, but the yelling is enough to make any concerned onlooker anxious as hell.

What’s most entertaining, however, is how Krazy’s mom is so incredibly rude. Flav sets up a nice fried chicken and potato sald brunch. First Mom shows up almost two hours late–and only then after Flav goes to retrieve her from her sulking chambers. Then, she announces that the spread “looks nasty” and impertinently refuses all but one pitiful piece of chicken.

How rude. How dramatic. When she has insisted that Flav is not the one for her precious Tiffany (who does, we must admit, have some brains and some skills beyond reality TV acting out), Flav gives New York a clock anyway. Mom gets all shuddery and her eyes get to rolling back in her head, and she is sure that Flav is “out to get” her.

Uh. Mrs. New York? This isn’t about you.

Anyways, despite the spite and histrionics, two girls left to vie for the Flavor of Love are New York and Delishis. The votes of one poll reveal that New York is the favorite. She does have the history and she does seem savvy enough for the exciting celeb world of Flava Flav. But my vote is still for Delishis, who is beautiful, attractive to Flav, and so far has not ever busted a hole in his serenity.
