Flava Flav is back for a third try at Flavor of Love success. |
And as the new hopefuls audition, the former Flavorettes are there to comment, critique, and caution.
Saaphyri has all one-color hair—beautiful black—and is somewhat more graceful having gone through the rigors of Monique’s Charm School.
Becky is still outspoken and spunky as all get-out, giving advice on what NOT to do: throwing shoes, etc. is a no-no, she warns.
Schatar is less lofty and more jocular, and methinks has amped up the blue eye shadow application.
Goldie is as vibrant and sarcastic as ever, giving some good criticism that is likely scripted but that only Goldie can deliver so innocuously…even the bellicose comments.
The editorializing makes for fun TV, despite how interesting the audition video clips might be, with the woman who needs to date Flav so she can take a break from getting all her loving from her dog, the woman who can pick things up with her feet as introduction to her folk music
performance, the medical student who would rather be the emergency room victim than the doctor, the woman who comes with a matching “slut” doll, the proud Phillipina who has some suggestions for that clock chain, the woman who is offering to be Flav’s lesbian spy, ad nauseum.
If you love Flava Flav, the announcer says, you can audition at flavoroflovecasting.com; and according to Flav, gold-diggers, publicity hounds, and playah hatas need not EVEN bother to apply.
Or, if you want to participate in the interactive thing, as was a strategy done on “I Love New York”, you can help decide the original twenty-one girls to be the ones who fight for the chance to cry out, “Flava Flav!”
Well, now, wait. I just checked out the URL for the casting/voting, and it reads that the voting is now closed.
Strange, looks as if only twenty-five applied? No. That can’t be right. Maybe only twenty-five are featured must-view video auditions, left for our enjoyment and for teasers for the first episode of “Flavor of Love 3”?
Well, who will be the next Buckwild? The new Peaches? The new…, well, never mind trying to find a replacement for THE New York.
