In the penultimate episode of “Hell’s Kitchen,” the two remaining chefs, Bonnie Muirhead and Rock Harper go head to head in the non-elimination challenge of the day—to win over
seven of Las Vegas’ finest with a signature dish.
The moment is torturous, as each expert deliberates over Bonnie’s shrimp and lobster pasta and Rock’s fried chicken and crab cake appetizer:

Bonnie says she went into this [the competition or the challenge?] the underdog, so it was nice to have a confidence booster.
Rock is cool, and tells us he would much rather take the win of a service over a challenge….
Who says what about winning the whole shebang?
Bonnie says, “I have a gift…. Rock’s not gonna know what hit him when I win [this].”
Bonnie also says that people underestimate her, and don’t realize until it’s too late she is a force to be reckoned with.
Rock says that yes, “Homegirl is smart…,” and shrugs, “So I lose to a #$@% amateur.”
But you know he doesn’t really think in terms of losing, despite the deference.
And Ramsay looks to be leaning…which way? Toward the Bonnie who has come quite a long way from being unable to fry a friggin egg, or toward the Rock who he says has played an amazing game of chess all along, despite starting the competition serving Chef Ramsay frozen gnocchi?
We have to WAIT to find out [which I don’t think we had to do last year?]:
The “Hell’s Kitchen” finale is not until next week! August 13th.
