Jenna Morasca Surviving Beautifully, Thank You

Jenna Morasca Surviving Beautifully, Thank You by Roxanne McDonald

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Since my cohort favors Jenna Morasca, Survivor 6 winner, I thought I’d do a follow-up to see what she is up to these days.

Sure, you might say, anyone who wins a million bucks on Survivor [in this case, Survivor: The Amazon] should be doing just fine and dandy, so there would be no need to check up and make sure.

But, hey, look what happened with the first ever Survivor winner, Richard Hatch. He ended up [foolishly, for a lawyer] evading taxes on his winnings but not evading the IRs, who put him in prison for a year.

In fact, Jenna took over Hatch’s co-host gig with Dalton Ross on “Survivor Live,” the CBS Net talk show which recaps and discusses Survivor as it airs each season.

So, let’s start there.

Jenna co-hosted with Dalton through Survivor: Palau (season 10), Survivor: Guatemala (11), Survivor: Panama (12), and Survivor: Cook Islands (13)—and currently does “Survivor Live” for Survivor: Fiji. Besides speaking to the eliminated player of the week, responding to live call-ins, and hosting other guests, “all things Survivor,” the former Survivor winner offers “Jenna Morasca’s Big Question of the Week,” whereby she asks a provocative, general, final question to ponder or to respond to by way of the website or show’s switchboards.

Back in the early post-Panama days, as one the titillating trio of Survivor hotties (along with Heidi Strobel and Shawna Mitchell), once she and Heidi had done the strip for peanut butter, was it? and after a few appearances on reunion shows and talk shows like Howard Stern and Vh1 goes inside, Jenna was invited to do a spread (no pun intended) in Playboy, which of course added another mill to her bank account.

Jenna also appeared in other reality game shows such as “Fear Factor” (2005), and the first episode of “Celebrity Paranormal Project” (2006); and has appeared in small roles as Angie in The Scorned (2005) and in large as life

roles, as herself, in shows such as “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch (2005) and “Kill Reality” (2005). Even earlier, in 2003, Jenna tried doing off-Broadway acting, making her debut in a show titled Pieces.

You might remember how beneficent Morasca was in the game, at one point giving away her immunity necklace (to Heidi)…. Equally caring about animals, Jenna did a P.E.T.A. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) campaign poster with Survivor: Africa winner (and her then boyfriend), Ethan Zohn. The anti-fur ad read, “We’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur!”

Jenna is still with Ethan, is still a hottie who now models swimwear, and has since 2004 when she founded the company, been president and CEO of Model Challenge USA, what she calls on her blog “a model scouting company.”

Her blog, or what she calls her TV Journal, is also a focus of her time, wherein she writes about the fixation we join her in having: reality TV.

Good to see that a good person is having a good life…still.
