Big Brother 7 All-Stars Gets More Vicious

Big Brother 7 Gets More Vicious By Roxanne McDonald

Big Brother All Stars The Big Brother 7 All-Stars July 23 episode, if possible, gets more vicious, more heated, more cutthroat… and at the same time ushers in another bizarre dimension to the personalities of two players, Jase and Will.

The Sunday episode has creepy cute moments: Boogie speaks to the diary room cam, excitedly anticipating HOH James’ nominations, saying, “Call the Hardy Boys… get somebody in here to figure out who James is going to nominate.”

(Boogie is a trip; reminds me of the frat boys back east, and with good reason: he is from Concord, NH, right up the road a piece from where I first went to college.  So, yes, frat boys in NH are like this—and often WORSE.)

Fraternity is NOT the theme today on Big Brother 7, tonight, however.  (Is it ever?)  Jase in the diary room can be heard and seen denouncing his housemates, saying how he is “sick of looking at S6′s family.”  “I don’t care about anybody’s family… except my own.”

Will is obviously of the same sentiment, also discussing his disdain for housemates in the diary room, where he boasts, “ I think that the fact that I enjoy being nominated makes me one of the most feared players….”  He is up on the block with Chicken George, who has turned out to be less the ministerial pure one and more a “player”, as he is caught disguising himself as housekeeper but is really cleaning next to the HOH door—so he can try to eavesdrop.

After much fussing and a major tantrum, Jase has exposed himself as a hypocrite.  Yes, the big players SAY they are honest and actually lie and backstab, and they SAY they are loyal and actually will sell their grannies if the nomination period sees granny and them the only two up for eviction…. but Jase is pullin’ this “I am a real player” crap that insists he is utterly loyal and a man of his word and one with such integrity that Marcellas finally gets fed up and calls Jase out, reminding him that to show as having integrity one must have it.

Okay, though, the real intrigue was when Will, ever the pseudo curmudgeon, ever the so-called “evil” one, gets to give a speech as an eviction nominee:  he stands and postures as some malevolent soap-box politician, inflecting and gesturing in this obviously trumped up way that leaves his listeners unsure of where to go and what to do or think next…which is EXACTLY what he planned for them all along.  He tells them all in this eerily lecturesome yet (falsely) tender way that he was so successful last time because he could strategize against the ones he hated.  But this time, however, he says, “I hate all of you.”

As viewers see in the next episode of BB7, though, of course…Will is not the Will at home (the benevolent doctor, etc.).  And Chicken George, while endearing and truly loving and appreciative and simple, is also not the pushover or patsy they might chucklingly think….

The leopard never changes its spots, but these guys are high-cloned cheetahs and panthers, in lion cub costumes, but with quick wit, stealth stalking skills, and sharp-ass teeth.

Even Marcellas, who was so pitiful when he lost a competition and said it was like being in high school where he would do the sports so he wouldn’t be “the gay guy who couldn’t do anything”…when challenged, extends his hidden claws.  We dare not underestimate.
