Big Brother All Stars - Will is Gaining Power

Big Brother All Stars - Will is Gaining Power by Roxanne McDonald

Big Brother All Stars By the time one gets through the Big Brother 7, Tuesday, August 1st episode, one is struck hard by the frightful possibility:

what if Will wins again?

It is a strong possibility, considering he has gone balls to wall with his intentional insulting, manipulating, and self-alienating, all of which appear to merely galvanize, or reinforce, his strength of presence in the BB house.

He has told them all during a veto meeting that he hates them all.  He has cajoled and coerced Janelle—or attempted to convince her—to put a floater and a Chill Town member up, then work it so the floater goes home.  Telling the diary room cam that “whoever speaks to Janelle last [right before her nominations for eviction process] will probably be able to [influence her decision].”  He has something there, showing how influence works, for Janelle nominates Boogie (telling him she dislikes him immensely) and Erika.

But is Janelle secretly a brain or truly an in-the-dark numbnuts?  She tells the diary cam that she REALLY wants to keep Boogie and just said all that derisive stuff to sway the votes…yet, here is why Marcellus, James, and others are getting apopleptic about her strategies and telling her so: James and Marcellus have both confronted her and let her know they think she is a fool, playing the season sixers against the more inimical ones, when it has been openly declared that Chill Town is out for Janelle’s head.

Another but: Boogie wins PoV.  This means Janelle must re-“think”– ahem—and this also invites the inevitable and intrepid, the doctor, into the mix again.  Will visits Janelle in her HoH room, telling her she “might as well” (oh so casual) bring Boogie in as an ally.  Then, he “promises”, they will “swear protection and work together for a goal in the future…”  Will knows 1) Janelle is malleable.  “People,” he confides to the diary cam, “plant seeds in her head all the time…,” and 2) knows how to promise such vagaries as a working together for future goals.  That could mean ANYTHING—likely a working-together on a luxury competition or something far less impacting than a nomination, veto, or eviction, which you KNOW Will has no intentions of following through on her side on.

After Boogie removed himself from the chopping block (ironically guessing that very phrase as a clue in the veto competition he won), Janelle buckled enough to replace him with Diane.  The self-proclaimed mastermind of hell, Will was first smugly content, saying, “As far as nominations go, Janelle met me half way; she put up one floater.”  Next, he gets Janelle thinking his way, hoping secretly she will see him win the PoV so he will be safe from nomination AND will take Boogie off the block.  And next, and ongoing, Will makes his fake phone call to Boogie, simulating a ring and a phone chat whereby both, in the diary room, roar over Janelle’s idiocy by keeping them both in the game.

We are watching Snidely Whiplash tie the damsel to the tracks, and we are helpless to rescue her, alert her, or punch him out to prevent him from doing it again.  All we can do—and DO do—is sit, listen, and watch as the pretty stuff gets splattered among the blood and ties.
